Amidst the hustle and bustle of the city, there are quiet lands that never lack the call of love. There, children in the vast Thai Nguyen still cross forests and streams every day, carrying their books to school in seemingly unnameable hardships. But it is also from there that rays of hope are lit up - by hearts that know how to share.
In the bright sunshine of a summer morning, Lung Hoai school (belonging to Thuong Nung Primary School, Thuong Nung commune, Vo Nhai district, Thai Nguyen province) was filled with the laughter of children and volunteers participating in the campaign "Painting with sunshine, drawing with love".
The games carefully prepared by volunteers seem simple but become brilliant memories for the children of Lung Hoai School.
Lung Hoai school is nearly 3km from the center of Thuong Nung commune (Vo Nhai) and is located on a high mountain. The road from the center of the commune to the school has been concreted by the State, but travel is still difficult due to many steep slopes and winding curves. This school year, the school has 57 students from grades 1 to 5. 100% of the students here are Mong ethnic people and all come from poor and near-poor families. Although in recent years, the school has received attention and support from many organizations and individuals, the facilities and living conditions for boarding students are still lacking.
Knowing the difficulties of students at Lung Hoai School, the Vietnam Volunteer Student Organization has organized fundraising activities to support and encourage the children to have more aspirations to excel in their studies.
The joy of highland children when participating in the program
The campaign "Painting the Color of Sunshine - Drawing the Line of Love" was carried out, with more than 100 books donated, along with a scholarship fund - building a ScholarSAP school worth 20,000,000 VND, which are small gifts carrying a great wish that the path of learning of children in the great forest will no longer be full of darkness, but will gradually sparkle with the light of knowledge and hope. In addition, the campaign also contributed funds to build schools, renovate the corrugated iron roof, and contribute bricks to create opportunities to bring a better learning environment and facilities, thereby helping children to develop comprehensively and firmly on the path of learning.
Meaningful gifts are given to help students in mountainous areas have a better learning environment and facilities.
According to the representative of the Vietnam Student Volunteer Organization, each book given not only opens up knowledge, but also instills in the children the belief that dreams are real, and the future can be written by those small hands. Donating books and building schools is not just temporary material support, but a journey to cultivate a more prosperous tomorrow - where every child has the opportunity to learn, grow up and dream fully.
The campaign is a journey to send warmth to the unfortunate, a bridge carrying the mission of spreading love to the community where every small action contributes to painting a bright picture of life.
Students' Association of Philanthropy (SAP) was founded in May 2024 by high school students. It is a network of exchange and connection of charitable hearts, with the desire to give love and help to anyone in difficult circumstances. The organization operates on a national scale and scope, promising to be a strong community for students to develop and carry out many meaningful missions, bringing positive and far-reaching impacts to society.
