The Cong - Viettel launches a series of quality new recruits to prepare for V.League 2025/2026

VHO - Aiming to compete for the championship at V.League 2025/2026, The Cong - Viettel Football Club has actively added to its squad with the participation of four potential new recruits: Paulo Tadeu Viana Martins, Damian Vu Thanh An, Kyle Colonna and Duong Thanh Tung.

The appearance of new faces is expected to increase the overall strength of the army team, especially in the context of increasingly fierce tournaments.

Among the new recruits, Paulinho Curuá – full name Paulo Tadeu Viana Martins – attracts attention with his impressive physique (1m87 tall) and diverse playing ability in midfield.

As a modern defensive midfielder with a strong playing style, Paulinho is considered by coach Velizar Popov to be an "important piece" and "suitable for the football philosophy" that The Cong - Viettel is pursuing.

Damian Vu Thanh An, a Vietnamese-Polish player born in 2003, is also a notable addition. Specializing in attacking midfield, Damian has played in the Polish professional league since the age of 16.

He expressed his desire to contribute to Vietnamese football: "From the first day I set foot at the headquarters of The Cong - Viettel, I wanted to stick with this team."

In defense, the club welcomed Kyle Colonna – a central defender of Vietnamese, American and Italian descent. Standing at 1m88 tall, Kyle is expected to become a reliable partner of Bui Tien Dung. Coach Popov highly appreciated Kyle’s performance and integration during the preparation period, and believed that this duo would create a “solid wall” in front of the home team’s goal.

Besides, Duong Thanh Tung – a domestic player trained in the Czech Republic – is also a name that receives a lot of expectations. Born in 1999, this 1m85 tall player used to play in the V.League and now returns to the role of an attacking midfielder or striker. With good technique and tactical thinking, Duong Thanh Tung is considered a solution to increase the depth of attack of the army team.
