27 more cases of COVID-19 have been reported.

(CPV) - The Ministry of Health 's COVID-19 prevention and control bulletin on January 16th reported 27 new COVID-19 cases, a slight increase compared to yesterday. No COVID-19-related deaths were recorded today.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Vietnam has recorded 11,526,167 cases, ranking 13th out of 230 countries and territories. In terms of the number of cases per million people, Vietnam ranks 117th out of 230 countries and territories (an average of 116,481 cases per million people).

Twelve patients were declared recovered today, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 10,612,117.

No deaths were reported on January 15th.

The total number of COVID-19 deaths in Vietnam to date is 43,186, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections; ranking 26th out of 230 territories, and the number of deaths per million people ranks 139th out of 230 countries and territories worldwide . Compared to Asia, the total number of deaths ranks 7th out of 49 (3rd in ASEAN), and the number of deaths per million people ranks 21st out of 49 Asian countries and territories (3rd in ASEAN).

On January 15th, 22,740 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered. Thus, the total number of doses administered is 265,906,862. Of these: 223,547,089 doses were given to individuals aged 18 and over, comprising: 71,081,786 doses of the first dose; 68,698,735 doses of the second dose; 14,534,318 doses of the booster dose; 51,812,347 doses of the first booster dose; and 17,419,903 doses of the second booster dose.

The total number of doses for children aged 12-17 years is 23,892,848, including: 9,127,824 doses of the first dose; 8,957,029 doses of the second dose; and 5,807,995 doses of the first booster dose. The total number of doses for children aged 5-11 years is 18,466,925, including: 10,245,223 doses of the first dose; and 8,221,702 doses of the second dose.
