Launch of the English Innovation Ideas Competition for students
In the competition, students aged 14 to 17 will develop creative ideas into practical projects in English. At the same time, contestants who enter the next rounds will also present their ideas and projects to international investors entirely in English, thereby practicing their English listening, speaking and presentation skills.
The preliminary round of "The Student Innovator" will take place online from now until May 16, 2024, with the results announced on May 18, 2024. Students will submit video clips presenting their innovative ideas in English, with a maximum duration of 3 to 7 minutes.
The semi-finals will take place on May 25, 2024. Twenty teams will compete head-to-head. Teams will present in English, up to 10 minutes.

The final round will take place on June 15, 2024. Ten teams will compete directly with English presentations, each team will have a maximum of 10 minutes. The organizing committee will award the first, second, third and consolation prizes to the teams with scholarships and cash prizes.
The Student Innovator competition is organized by the International Primary, Secondary and High School (TIS) in collaboration with the National Student Innovation Village (SIV) under the National TECHFEST - Ministry of Science and Technology and OSI Vietnam.
The competition was preceded by TIS THE PITCH, which was successfully held in the past two seasons. This time, the scale of the English innovation competition for students has been expanded to include Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring areas, helping students from many provinces and cities to experience more.
The contest is expected to create an environment that promotes students' creative thinking, helping them to improve from the basics, think freely, and explore their own potential to become the best version of themselves.
The idea of innovation for students is a spearhead of education and technology that is currently prioritized, clearly demonstrated through Project 1665 of the Ministry of Education and Training "Supporting students to start a business by 2025" and Project 844 of the Ministry of Science and Technology "Supporting the national innovation and startup ecosystem by 2025".
