The number of candidates registering for the entrance exam to the largest specialized school in Nghe An has decreased.

In the 2025-2026 school year, Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted has 1,730 students registered for NV1 and 1,050 students registered for NV2 in 15 specialized classes.

In which, the specialized class with the largest number of registered students is Literature with 322 applications.

Next are the specialized Math classes with 270 applications, the specialized Chemistry and English classes with 159 applications, the specialized Physics classes with 131 applications, the specialized Biology classes with 117 applications, the specialized Informatics classes with 92 applications for the Informatics exam, and 34 applications for the Math exam.

In the specialized language block, the specialized Chinese class has 85 applications, the specialized Russian class has 74 applications, the specialized Korean class has 58 applications, and the specialized Japanese class has 52 applications. In particular, the specialized French class has 34 applications registered for the exam in English and 22 applications registered for the exam in French. The specialized History class has 68 applications and the specialized Geography class has 53 applications.

Although the number of applications for these specialized classes is much less than other specialized classes, the number of candidates registering for NV2 in these specialized classes is quite high, with 154 students registering for NV2 in the History specialized class and 109 students registering for NV2 in the Geography specialized class.

With 1,730 applications, the number of candidates taking the entrance exam to Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted this year is more than 400 lower than last year.

Previously, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued a Decision and enrollment in grade 10 and enrollment in Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted in the 2025-2026 school year with 15 classes, including specialized classes in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Information Technology, Literature, History, Geography, English, Japanese, Chinese, French, Russian and Korean. The specialized Math class will have 2 classes including specialized Math 1 and specialized Math 2.

This year's enrollment plan has been adjusted compared to previous years when there was only one English specialized class left. However, for the first time, Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted opened a Korean specialized class. Each specialized class will have 35 students.

According to the plan, the entrance exam for grade 10 at Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted this year will be held on June 6. According to regulations, the scores of non-specialized exams are calculated with a coefficient of 1, and the scores of specialized exams are calculated with a coefficient of 3.
