Candidates complete procedures for entrance exam to grade 10 for the 2025-2026 school year

On the morning of June 6, more than 11,000 candidates in Ha Nam province were present at 23 examination councils to complete exam registration procedures, listen to the regulations and prepare to take the first exam - Literature, in essay format, which will take place in the afternoon of the same day.

At the exam sites, candidates arrived early and were guided to the exam room area to listen to the exam regulations. 2025 is the first year the exam is organized according to the 2018 general education program, with the way of setting questions and assessing abilities having significant changes, requiring students to master knowledge in a flexible and integrated way. Along with that, this year's review work also has many differences when schools strictly implement the regulations on managing extra teaching and learning according to Circular 29 of the Ministry of Education and Training , most students review mainly during regular hours and self-study at home...

A parent in Chau Cau ward, Phu Ly city whose child is taking the Literature exam, shared: The pressure is not only on the children but also on us as parents. However, instead of creating pressure, I choose to encourage, befriend my child, and create the most comfortable mentality so that my child can confidently enter the exam.

Many candidates also showed their determination. Thach Bao Tram, a student at Bien Hoa High School for the Gifted, said: I have spent all my time studying for the past three months, mainly self-studying and with the guidance of teachers. I registered for the Literature exam, knowing that the competition rate is very high, but I always try my best and hope that I will have the opportunity to study at my dream school.

According to statistics, the number of candidates registering for the Literature exam this year at Bien Hoa High School for the Gifted has increased sharply, making the "competition" rate much higher than that of some other specialized subjects. At this Examination Council alone, after completing three general subjects (Literature, Math, English), 772 candidates will continue to enter the specialized subject exam round on June 8.

The province has mobilized about 1,600 officials to work as invigilators and have been thoroughly trained in professional skills and exam regulations. In addition, police, medical staff, and youth volunteers have also been fully deployed at exam locations to support traffic control, ensure safety, security, hygiene, and epidemic prevention, and provide psychological support to candidates.

With careful preparation and a high sense of responsibility from families, schools and support forces, the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year in Ha Nam initially recorded social consensus and determination to overcome difficulties of students in a period of many positive changes in theeducation sector.
