Exactly 70 years ago, under the correct and creative leadership of the Party, our army and people achieved the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory - the peak of the 1953-1954 winter-spring campaign, the greatest victory of the Vietnamese army and people in the resistance war against the invading French colonialists (1945-1954).
The Dien Bien Phu victory ended the war, restored peace in Indochina; "was recorded in national history as a Bach Dang, a Chi Lang or a Dong Da in the 20th century and entered world history as a brilliant feat, breaking through the stronghold of the colonial slavery system of imperialism".
