Weather April 30: Showers, heavy rain in some places

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting predicts that from the afternoon of April 30 to May 1, the Northern and North Central regions will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places experiencing heavy rain with rainfall of 15-40mm, and some places experiencing over 80mm.

Thunderstorms may produce tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rains may cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes and flooding in low-lying areas.

Regarding the hot weather in the South, the Hydro-Meteorological Agency forecasts that on April 30, the South will have hot weather with the highest temperature commonly ranging from 35-36 degrees Celsius, some places above 36 degrees Celsius; the lowest relative humidity commonly ranges from 50-55%. On May 1, the hot weather in the South will likely ease.
