Weather on October 7: Storm No. 11 causes heavy rain in many places

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, although storm No. 11 has weakened, the storm's circulation continues to cause heavy rain over a wide area in the Northern region, especially the capital Hanoi and the midland and mountainous provinces in the North.

According to monitoring data, rainfall in the past 6 hours was generally 40 - 80mm; some areas recorded higher rainfall such as Soc Son station 116mm, Thuong Cat station 91mm. It is forecasted that in the next 3 - 6 hours, the city will continue to have moderate rain, heavy rain, and very heavy rain in some places with rainfall generally 40 - 70mm, locally exceeding 100mm. Rain is forecast to decrease rapidly from this evening and tonight. People need to be on guard against flooding in low-lying inner-city streets.

On October 7, the Northern region and Thanh Hoa continued to have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain. From October 8, heavy rains in the North and Thanh Hoa tend to decrease rapidly, the weather gradually improves. However, people are advised to continue to monitor weather forecasts to proactively respond, especially in areas at risk of landslides, flooding or traffic disruption.
