Pursuant to Decision No. 759/QD-TTg dated April 14, 2025 of the Prime Minister approving the Project on rearranging and reorganizing administrative units at all levels and building a 2-level local government organization model. Specifically, merging Binh Phuoc province and Dong Nai province into a new province called Dong Nai province, the administrative - political center is located in Bien Hoa city.

The Department of Home Affairs leader approved the report.

The results of the consultation with the people and the People's Councils at district and commune levels on the Plan to arrange and merge administrative units of Binh Phuoc and Dong Nai provinces showed a high consensus from the people with a rate of 97.90% in agreement. At the same time, the People's Councils at district and commune levels in the province all agreed.

Conference delegates speak out

According to the draft Project on the arrangement and merger of administrative units of Binh Phuoc and Dong Nai provinces: The new administrative unit of Dong Nai province after the arrangement and merger has an area of ​​12,737.82 km², reaching 255% of the standard, with a population of 4,318,433 people, reaching 308% of the standard. The administrative - political center of the new administrative unit of Dong Nai province is located in Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province (after the arrangement, it is Tran Bien ward (new), Dong Nai province). However, to facilitate the initial stage of merging the two provinces, a number of agencies will be arranged with 2 headquarters in Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc.

The establishment of Dong Nai province on the basis of merging Binh Phuoc province with Dong Nai province will create new position and strength in the construction and development of the socio-economy; is a condition for creating changes in production structure, industry structure; organizing social activities; organizing architectural construction space; attracting investment resources; developing trade, tourism and services. The new Dong Nai province will be located in the key economic region of the Southeast, the gateway to the Southern region. Dong Nai, together with the provinces in the Southeast region, forms a continuous chain, playing the role of the center and core of socio-economic development of the region and the Southern region of Vietnam, at the same time creating links for the development of trade, tourism, services and the supply and consumption of large-scale products nationwide and in the world.

Delegates voted to agree on the policy of implementing the Project on rearranging and merging administrative units of Binh Phuoc and Dong Nai provinces.

Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office Vu Van Muoi approved the conference resolution.

With the high consensus of the delegates attending the conference, the Provincial Party Executive Committee passed a Resolution agreeing on the policy of implementing the Project on rearranging and merging administrative units of Binh Phuoc and Dong Nai provinces.

Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Committee Ton Ngoc Hanh delivered a concluding speech at the conference.

Concluding the conference, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ton Ngoc Hanh emphasized the importance of implementing the Project on reorganizing and merging administrative units of Binh Phuoc and Dong Nai provinces. At the same time, he requested the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee to continue reviewing, supplementing and perfecting the project based on the opinions of delegates at the conference and comments from the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, ensuring full compliance with procedures and order.
