Today, March 28, Acting Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong chaired a meeting with departments, branches, sectors and investors to agree on the location and route of the My Thuy 110kV Transformer Station project and the Dien Sanh - My Thuy 110kV transmission line.

The 110kV My Thuy Transformer Station Project and the 110kV Dien Sanh - My Thuy transmission line were approved in principle by the Provincial People's Committee for ASIA Alloy Steel Joint Stock Company (ASIA) to propose a project to supply electricity to the ASIA Stainless Steel and Alloy Steel Factory.
The project has been approved by the Provincial People's Committee for the route and location of the transformer station. However, during the implementation process, Quang Tri Development Joint Venture Company Limited (QTIP) stated that the route of the 100 kV line of the project partly intersects the area of phase 3 of the Quang Tri Industrial Park project and proposed to adjust the route.
ASIA believes that the request to adjust the route as proposed by QTIP is not feasible because there are locations in the middle of residential roads; the adjusted route increases the length to 550 m, incurring large investment costs; the adjusted route cuts through 22 plots of land that have been granted land use right certificates, causing difficulties in clearance and compensation with high costs.
In addition, the route adjustment requires readjusting the general planning, the regional planning of Hai Lang district, Dien Sanh town and land use planning, leading to delays and prolonging the power supply time for ASIA's project, the ASIA Stainless Steel and Alloy Steel Factory.
Based on the opinions of departments, branches, localities and investors, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong acknowledged and commended ASIA for investing in the project; at the same time, shared and requested QTIP to agree with the plan to keep the approved planning intact to ensure the harmony of interests among investors, create a fair and transparent investment environment, and ensure the progress of the projects.
In addition, departments, branches and localities are required to receive opinions from investors and change the planning at the location of the power line passing through QTIP's land from commercial - service land to green land. At the same time, arrange additional land fund for QTIP when implementing phase 3 of the Quang Tri Industrial Park project.
