The Closing Ceremony and Awards Ceremony of the 3rd Da Nang Asian Film Festival will be broadcast live at 8:10 p.m. today (July 5) on VTV8 channel.

On the evening of July 5, the 3rd Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF III) will officially conclude with the Closing and Award Ceremony taking place at the Ariyana Danang International Convention Palace. The event promises to attract a large number of filmmakers, artists, representatives of government agencies and cinema lovers.

After a vibrant week with a series of film screenings, panel discussions and cultural exchanges, DANAFF III brought a colorful film feast, honoring the talents and outstanding works of Asian and Vietnamese cinema. At the Closing Ceremony, prestigious awards will be announced one by one, recognizing the efforts and contributions of filmmakers.

The highlight of the awards night will be the awards for the Asian Film Competition category with 14 competing works, and the Vietnamese Film Competition category with 12 films. In particular, the Best Vietnamese Film award will also find a worthy owner, promising to create great momentum for the development of the country's cinema.

DANAFF III will present awards in the categories of NETPAC Award for the best Vietnamese film, selected from the Vietnamese Film Competition; Audience Award for the most favorite Vietnamese film, voted by the audience among the films participating in the program "Today's Vietnamese Cinema" (18 participating films); Cinema Achievement Award; Young Critics Award for the best Asian film in the program Panorama of Asian Cinema.

Previously, at the Opening Ceremony, DANAFF III honored the Cinema Achievement Award to Korean director Im Kwon-Taek, a legend of Asian cinema, with great contributions to the seventh art.

DANAFF III is not only a place to screen top-notch films, but also an important bridge for filmmakers and experts in the region to meet, exchange experiences, and together shape the future of Asian cinema. The film festival has contributed to affirming the position of Da Nang as an attractive cultural and tourist destination, while promoting the development of the Vietnamese film industry in the international arena.
