University valedictorian in Ho Chi Minh City reports his achievements to Uncle Ho

TPO - On behalf of the valedictorians, Nguyen Xuan Duong (valedictorian of the Vietnam Aviation Academy) promised to continuously study, innovate, conduct scientific research and apply new technology, cultivate ethics, health, revolutionary ideals, strong political will, patriotism; actively participate in activities demonstrating responsibility to the community, society and international integration.

On the morning of November 21, within the framework of the program to honor the valedictorians of 2025, at the Ho Chi Minh Museum - Ho Chi Minh City Branch, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union held a flower offering ceremony to report to President Ho Chi Minh.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Dang Khoa - Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union, Chairman of the City Youth Union Inspection Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Student Association of Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Le Xuan Dung - Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Student Support Center, and more than 80 outstanding students who are valedictorians and valedictorians of universities, academies and colleges in the city.

Young people with outstanding academic and training achievements were recognized and rewarded by the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union in this year's Valedictorian Honors program.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Nguyen Xuan Duong - former President of the Vietnam Student Association of Vietnam Aviation Academy, valedictorian of 2025 - expressed that to become the new valedictorian, students have always followed Uncle Ho's teachings, strived to study and practice to constantly improve themselves. Since their years at school, they have made efforts, promoted the tradition of studiousness and determined the right learning goals.

However, according to Xuan Duong, this is not the final result but just a favorable start for a very long training journey ahead.

On behalf of the valedictorians, Xuan Duong promised Uncle Ho: "We will never stop studying, creating, researching science and applying new technology, cultivating ethics, health, revolutionary ideals, strong political will, patriotism; actively participate in activities demonstrating responsibility to the community, society and international integration."

According to Xuan Duong, in the context of the country entering the era of digital transformation, innovation and strong integration, the young generation not only needs solid knowledge, but also must have courage, ethics, a sense of responsibility and a humane heart.

Since 2013, the City's Vietnam Student Association has organized the Valedictorian Honors Program, to honor and commend exemplary students with excellent academic and training achievements, proactively approaching and adapting well to new conditions and circumstances, asserting themselves, spreading the spirit of active learning, training and affirming the city's generation of students as brave, dynamic and integrated. This is also an important human resource to introduce to participate in Project 01 of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee - Project on supporting and developing young talents and future leaders of the city in the period 2020-2035. After 11 years of implementation, the program has honored 917 outstanding new students and new graduates.

In 2025, the program selected and honored 88 valedictorians, including 40 valedictorians admitted to universities, colleges, academies, and junior colleges with excellent academic achievements, and 48 valedictorians who graduated with many outstanding achievements.
