Recently, in the South Central region, there has been a historic flood, causing very heavy damage to people, houses, properties, greatly affecting the lives of people and infrastructure works of the State, especially in the provinces of Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai and Lam Dong. After the flood, thousands of houses were severely damaged, hundreds of households lost their homes due to collapse, collapse, and drift, requiring a lot of resources to repair and rebuild, many schools, medical stations, and hospitals have not been able to resume operations.
In order to quickly repair and rebuild houses for households whose houses are severely damaged, collapsed, or washed away, ensuring stable housing for people before the Lunar New Year 2026, the Prime Minister requested the Chairmen of the People's Committees of Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai , and Lam Dong provinces to direct competent agencies and local authorities to urgently review, compile statistics, and report specifically on the number of households whose houses have collapsed, collapsed, or washed away and need to be rebuilt; and the number of households whose houses are severely damaged and need to be repaired.
Total necessary funding to support people in repairing and rebuilding houses, clearly reporting the funding needs to support people in repairing houses, the funding needs to support people in rebuilding houses; the amount of funding that the locality can balance from local sources and other sources mobilized by the locality; the amount of funding requested for continued central support.
The Prime Minister requested the People's Committees of Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai and Lam Dong provinces to urgently send reports to the Government Office and the Ministries of Finance, Agriculture and Environment before 5:00 p.m. on November 27 for synthesis and reporting to the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister assigned the Minister of Finance to synthesize and proactively propose the use of resources from the central budget, and at the same time propose to assign provinces and cities that regulate the budget to the central government to support the provinces of Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai and Lam Dong to have more resources to support people to quickly repair and rebuild, ensuring that people have safe housing before the Lunar New Year 2026.
The Ministers of National Defense and Public Security direct military forces, local police and other forces to support people in repairing and rebuilding houses as requested by localities.
