Previously, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the delegation attended the inauguration ceremony of the Vietnamese Embassy in India in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. The construction of the Vietnamese Embassy in India began in 2018, was completed in 2022 and has undergone a 2-year warranty. The project is located on a beautiful plot of land, with an area of nearly 3,500 m2, including two items: Office and Housing for staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in India, with a total floor area of nearly 6,000 m2 including the basement. The project, along with its accompanying equipment, techniques and technology, is an important support in building a comprehensive and modern diplomacy. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that after a long period of war for national independence, Vietnam's starting point was low. But to date, Vietnam has diplomatic relations with 193 countries in the world. Diplomatic relations between Vietnam and other countries are established on the basis of equality, mutual benefit, respect for each other's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity. That achievement is partly due to the contribution of the diplomatic sector, including the staff of the embassies. Emphasizing that the Party and State attach special importance to and care for diplomatic work, both in terms of capacity, intelligence and facilities, working conditions, and regimes for the staff of embassies, including the Vietnamese Embassy in India, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated and commended the ministries, branches, and units of Vietnam and the help of Indian friends to put the headquarters of the Vietnamese Embassy in India into operation and serve the work. With a spacious working office, the Prime Minister believes that the Embassy's staff will have more motivation and inspiration to work more effectively, contributing to strengthening the Vietnam - India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, as well as making worthy contributions to the rapid and sustainable development of Vietnam.
