Prime Minister of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Xavier Bettel and a high-ranking Luxembourg delegation are paying an official visit to Vietnam from May 3-5 at the invitation of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh .
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the welcoming ceremony for Prime Minister Xavier Bettel and the high-ranking delegation of Luxembourg.
Immediately after the welcoming ceremony, the two Prime Ministers held talks and witnessed the signing of a number of cooperation documents between the two countries' ministries and sectors; and met with the press to announce the results of the talks.
This is the first official visit outside Europe by the Prime Minister of Luxembourg in 2023, and also the first visit to Vietnam by the Prime Minister of Luxembourg in more than 20 years, and also the first high-level foreign activity on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Luxembourg diplomatic relations (1973-2023).
During the visit, the two Prime Ministers will discuss the comprehensive and effective implementation of the contents agreed upon at the previous talks, as well as specific directions and measures to increase political trust and promote economic and trade cooperation.
Along with that is strengthening the financial and investment pillars, expanding cooperation in potential fields, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of both countries, bringing the bilateral relationship to a new stage of development, in-depth and effective for the benefit of the people of the two countries, for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

The visit took place five months after the meeting between the two Prime Ministers in Luxembourg during Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's official visit to Luxembourg.
