Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh arrives in Tianjin to attend the World Economic Forum and work in China.

According to the special correspondent of VNA, at 11:30 a.m. on June 24 (local time, or 10:30 a.m. on the same day Vietnam time), the plane carrying Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Vietnamese delegation arrived at Tan Hai International Airport, Tianjin City, starting a working trip to attend the 16th Annual Pioneers Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF 16 Tianjin) and work in China.

Welcoming Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Vietnamese delegation at Tan Hai airport were Deputy Mayor of Tianjin Wang Xiufeng; Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam He Wei; Liaison Officer of the Chinese Prime Minister; Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Thanh Binh; Embassy staff and representatives of the Vietnamese community in China.

This is the first working trip of a key Vietnamese leader to China in 2025, taking place right after the extremely successful State visit of General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping to Vietnam (last April), in the context of Vietnam and China celebrating the 75th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations and jointly implementing the Year of Humanitarian Exchange.

Attending the 16th WEF Tianjin Conference, with the theme "Entrepreneurship in a new era", Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will attend the opening session of the conference, the policy dialogue session with the WEF Executive Chairman, the discussion session "Is the Asian century facing challenges" and other related activities.

The Prime Minister and representatives of the government, businesses, international organizations, and scholars will discuss five topics: decoding the world economy; China's prospects; industrial transformation; investment for people and the planet; energy and new materials.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister will have meetings and contacts with WEF leaders, leaders of countries and international organizations attending the conference to promote cooperation in all fields.

Through its participation in the conference, Vietnam continues to affirm its foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization, diversification, proactiveness, and comprehensive, deep, and effective international integration; at the same time, it conveys the message of Vietnam's determination and aspiration to enter a new era of development, an era of national growth.

During bilateral activities with China, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will hold talks with senior Chinese leaders; attend the Vietnam-China Business Forum; work with leaders of major Chinese corporations; meet with the Vietnamese community and students in China; and spend time surveying economic and social facilities, learning about China's economic development model such as the stock exchange, free trade zones, etc.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's working trip this time continues to realize and deepen the important common perception reached between the top leaders of the two Parties and two countries, maintaining and consolidating the stable and positive development momentum of Vietnam - China relations, while enhancing Vietnam's position in global cooperation mechanisms, opening up many specific and practical cooperation opportunities for the prosperous and sustainable development of the country in the new era.
