On the afternoon of August 2, in Dong Nai , Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh inspected the construction progress of the Long Thanh International Airport Project. This is the 8th time the Prime Minister has inspected the construction progress of this Project.
Reporting to the Prime Minister on the progress up to now, Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) said that currently, the entire component project 3 ( essential works in the airport with a total investment of 99,000 billion VND ) has 14 bid packages, of which 3 bid packages have been completed and the remaining 11 bid packages are under construction.
Up to now, the total volume value has reached 50.73% of the signed contract value.
As for the construction of the passenger terminal, 4,700 personnel and more than 1,000 machines and equipment are currently being deployed for construction. To date, 99% of the steel roof structure has been completed and the entire central roof structure is expected to be completed before August 15, 2025.

For runway 1, it has been basically completed. As for runway 2, ACV started construction on May 30, 2025.
After listening to the reports of the units, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh commended the relevant agencies such as the Ministry of Construction and ACV for completing many tasks.
However, the Prime Minister said that there is still a lot of work to do from now until the end of the year to achieve the goal of basically completing the Project by December 19, 2025, moving towards commercial exploitation in early 2026.
To achieve this goal, the Prime Minister directed the Ministries, branches, Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Dong Nai province, investors, contractors... to try harder, to try harder to complete the Project.
With the spirit of speed, boldness, only talking about work, no retreat, overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain, not losing to the wind and storms, working in 3 shifts, 4 teams, working through holidays, Tet, and days off, the Prime Minister requested the agencies to rebuild the progress critical path according to the set goals, clearly assigning people, work, time, responsibility, results, and authority, and strengthening supervision, inspection, and monitoring.
The Prime Minister especially noted that investors must complete the project on schedule while ensuring quality, technical requirements, aesthetics, safety, and environmental sanitation.
That same evening, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh inspected the construction progress of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 Project, Tan Van - Nhon Trach section.
According to the report of the Ministry of Construction, the 8.22 km long Ring Road 3 section Tan Van - Nhon Trach (connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Dong Nai) has reached nearly 98% progress. The project will be opened to traffic on August 19.
Here, the Prime Minister gave gifts and encouraged the staff, engineers, workers and laborers at the construction site.
The Prime Minister also commended the Ministry of Construction, the My Thuan Project Management Board (under the Ministry of Construction) and localities for completing the Nhon Trach Bridge 1.5 months ahead of schedule to put it into operation, reducing travel and logistics costs for people and businesses.
