Thuan Bac develops tourism to create momentum for economic growth

Thuan Bac district has a convenient geographical location and transportation system - where National Highway 1 and the North-South railway run through, with a length of about 20km; near Ninh Chu port and Cam Ranh international airport, Khanh Hoa province. The district also has Binh Tien beach and many other places and scenic spots such as: Kien Kien stream, Sung Trau stream, Ba Ho, mineral mud bath area located at the foot of Nui Chua National Park. In addition, with the characteristics of a mountainous district with nearly 70% of ethnic minorities living, with many traditional cultural values ​​​​preserved, promoted and ranked by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as national intangible cultural heritage such as: Tomb abandonment ceremony of the Raglai people, new rice eating ceremony, New Year's ritual of the Cham people in Binh Nghia village (Bac Son); the area still preserves many traditional musical instruments Ma la, gourd trumpet, Chapi, associated with folk dances, handicrafts; 4 relics and intangible cultural heritages have been ranked at national and provincial levels...

The Resolution of the 4th District Party Congress, term 2020-2025, clearly identified the breakthrough in tourism development, which is to strengthen propaganda and promotion activities; focus on calling for investment in building coastal tourism projects, linking the development of ecological tourism, craft villages and tangible and intangible cultural heritages, and typical products of ethnic minority areas. Focus on investing in completing transport infrastructure, developing service industries to support the tourism industry; creating favorable conditions for travel companies to open tours and routes to tourist destinations in the area. Comrade Pham Trong Hung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thuan Bac district, said: In order to develop tourism sustainably, in addition to promoting promotion, the district actively coordinates with departments and branches to call on economic sectors to learn about and invest in the district's tourist areas. At the same time, promote administrative reform, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the state administrative apparatus in handling legal procedures and documents, especially strengthen coordination to speed up the process of site clearance for projects after the investment policy decision is made.

Up to now, the district has put into operation two projects: Natural Paradise Ninh Thuan Tourism Area in Cong Hai Commune and Nui Chua Village Community Tourism Area in Bac Son Commune; the Binh Tien Tourism Area project alone has put into operation a golf course. The number of tourists to the district has increased day by day, in the past 5 years it has attracted over 280,000 visitors, with revenue reaching 25 billion VND. Aiming at the goal of developing community tourism, the district has also allocated 7.2 billion VND to develop a project to develop community tourism associated with ecological tourism in Phuoc Chien Commune, following the homestay tourism model combined with promoting the traditional cultural features of the Raglai people. In particular, with the typical hot climate, the district aims to develop a number of key agricultural products associated with tourism services. Up to now, there have been 10 OCOP products achieving 3-4 stars such as black pigs, mountain chickens, wild honey, etc. Every year, 3-4 exhibitions are organized to introduce and promote products; thereby, contributing to job creation and increasing income for local people. Taking advantage of the tourism areas, coastal roads and areas bordering Cam Ranh city, the Northern belt road and Du Long Industrial Park, the district also focuses on developing service industries to support the tourism industry, forming many new types of service businesses in a civilized and modern direction, making tourism a key economic sector, contributing to promoting local socio-economic development.
