Permanent Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu expressed his pleasure to welcome Mr. Nasser bin Suliman Al Harthi to work with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs after the meeting between the two sides in Oman in February 2025 on the occasion of the Vietnamese delegation attending the 8th Indian Ocean Conference.
The Deputy Minister affirmed that Vietnam attaches importance to the friendship and good cooperation with Oman, expressing his joy at the strong development of bilateral relations in recent times, especially in the field of investment cooperation; stating that the fields in the investment portfolio that OIA is interested in such as digital technology , energy, finance, Halal food, etc. are also priority issues for Vietnam to promote.

The Deputy Minister welcomed OIA’s cooperation with the State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) to establish the “Vietnam New Era Growth Fund” with a minimum capital of 200 million USD; affirmed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant agencies always support and are ready to create favorable conditions for the joint investment funds between Vietnam and Oman to continue operating more effectively, contributing to consolidating and enhancing multi-faceted cooperation between Vietnam and Oman.
For his part, OIA Vice President Sheikh Nasser bin Suliman Al Harthi expressed his pleasure at visiting and working with the leaders of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs; emphasizing that Oman attaches importance to strengthening cooperation with Vietnam, especially investment cooperation, a very potential field and a bright spot in bilateral relations in recent times.
The Vice President of OIA shared that the “Vietnam New Era Growth Fund” will prioritize investment in potential areas such as technology, telecommunications, finance, halal agriculture, digital transformation, etc. in Vietnam, contributing to increasing bilateral trade between the two countries.
In a friendly atmosphere, Vice President Al Harthi affirmed that OIA will further strengthen cooperation with Vietnamese partners, ready to continue to promote its role as a bridge in promoting economic and investment cooperation between the two countries, encourage more Omani and Middle Eastern enterprises to explore cooperation opportunities in Vietnam, as well as call on Vietnamese enterprises to take advantage of the strengths of the seaport system in Oman to increase the export of goods to the Middle East region.
