That was the affirmation of Minister, Chief of the Presidential Office, Chairman of the Venezuela - Vietnam Intergovernmental Cooperation Subcommittee Jorge Márquez - at the reception of the working delegation of Viglacera Corporation led by Mr. Tran Ngoc Anh, Deputy General Director, on the occasion of visiting, working and exploring cooperation and investment opportunities in Venezuela from September 20 to 24.
During the visit, the delegation had meetings with: Minister, Chief of the Presidential Office, Chairman of the Venezuela-Vietnam Intergovernmental Cooperation Subcommittee Jorge Márquez; Minister of Industry and National Production José Félix Rivas Alvarado; Minister of Population and Housing Ildemaro Villarroel; and had meetings and worked with leaders of several large corporations and groups in the fields of construction, housing and trade in Venezuela.
At the working sessions, Deputy General Director Tran Ngoc Anh gave an overview of Viglacera Corporation - JSC. He emphasized that Viglacera is one of the 20 largest tile enterprises in the world and has become the largest construction material manufacturer in Vietnam. Currently, Vigracera has cooperated with more than 500 corporations and enterprises in the world, and Vigracera products are present in more than 40 countries, including markets such as the United States and Europe.
Deputy General Director of Viglacera Corporation Tran Ngoc Anh said that in the field of international cooperation, since 2018, Viglacera has invested in Cuba's Mariel Special Development Zone; Viglacera has contributed capital and established a joint venture company in Cuba called SANVIG, which has been in production since November 2019 in the field of construction materials. Deputy General Director of Viglacera Tran Ngoc Anh expressed his hope that leaders of Venezuelan ministries and branches would pay attention and create conditions for Viglacera's products to soon be present in the Venezuelan market as well as for the two sides to coordinate in researching and exploring future investment possibilities in Venezuela.
Speaking at the reception of the Vigracera Corporation delegation, Minister, Chief of the Presidential Office, Chairman of the Venezuela-Vietnam Intergovernmental Cooperation Subcommittee Jorge Márquez said that in the context of Venezuela being in the process of recovering and diversifying its economy to avoid traditional dependence on oil , the potential for cooperation in the construction sector, especially construction materials, is huge; emphasizing that the Venezuelan Government will create all conditions for Viglacera to penetrate the Venezuelan market; believing that cooperation between Viglacera and Venezuelan enterprises will actively contribute to promoting the comprehensive partnership between Venezuela and Vietnam.
Minister of Industry and National Production José Félix Rivas Alvarado emphasized that the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two ruling parties as well as between the two states and governments of Venezuela and Vietnam has continued to develop well in recent times. The two countries are in the most favorable context to be able to strengthen and develop more strongly cooperation in many fields, including cooperation in the field of construction to serve people's lives in the current period.
For his part, Vietnamese Ambassador to Venezuela Vu Trung My sincerely thanked the attention and support of Venezuelan ministries and sectors in promoting bilateral relations in general and supporting Viglacera enterprises in particular; emphasizing the policy of the Party, State and Government of Vietnam in building economic diplomacy to serve development, taking people, localities and enterprises as the center of service, improving the effectiveness of supporting sectors, fields, localities and enterprises in international cooperation, including cooperation with countries in Latin America and Venezuela.
During the visit and work in Venezuela, in addition to meetings and working with leaders of ministries and branches, the delegation also had meetings and discussions with the Venezuela - Vietnam Chamber of Commerce, the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, and visited a number of enterprises in the field of trading and manufacturing construction materials.
On this occasion, Vigracera Deputy General Director Tran Ngoc Anh thanked the Vietnamese Embassy in Venezuela for actively promoting, connecting and organizing meetings and working sessions with Venezuelan partners; hoping that in the coming time, the Vietnamese Embassy in Venezuela will continue to promote its role, strengthen economic diplomacy, and further promote cooperation between Vietnamese and Venezuelan enterprises./.
