Effective implementation of Luxembourg Projects deployed in the area

HNN.VN - On July 11, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hoang Hai Minh chaired a meeting of the Luxembourg Project Steering Committee to update the project's progress as well as provide direction and implementation plan in the coming time. Co-chairing the meeting was Mr. Thomas Lammar - Temporary Representative, Embassy of Luxembourg in Laos.

The VIE/039 project funded by the Government of Luxembourg was approved by the Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee with the aim of improving the economic and climate resilience of farming households and small businesses, especially women in Vietnam. The beneficiaries are farming households, including women, cooperatives and small and micro enterprises operating in selected value chains. The implementation period is 24 months from the date of project approval.

At the meeting, members of the Steering Committee, partners, sponsors and delegates focused on discussing the tasks achieved as well as the key tasks to be implemented by the end of 2025 and 2026, clearly identifying difficulties and obstacles to find timely solutions. Carefully review the content of the action plan and budget allocation for 2025-2026, ensuring feasibility, consistency with the goals and outputs of the project. Agree on the coordination mechanism between the parties, especially the coordinating role of the governing body and the supporting role of specialized agencies and project beneficiary localities.

Vice Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee Hoang Hai Minh said that this is one of the key projects between Vietnam and Luxembourg in improving the economic and climate resilience of farmers and small businesses, especially women in Hue City. Hue City leaders highly appreciated the technical and financial support from the Luxembourg Government through LuxDev, as well as the active coordination of domestic partners, especially the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, Hue Branch.

After approval, the project has gradually completed its management apparatus, strengthened its personnel, built a coordination process and implemented initial launch activities. However, there are still some difficulties due to the arrangement of the two-level local government apparatus, as well as the mechanism, disbursement progress and public investment procedures.

The City People's Committee pledges to provide strong and close direction in implementing the VIE039 project; at the same time, create the most favorable conditions in terms of mechanisms, policies, and resources, ensuring efficiency and progress as committed to Luxembourg.
