Base tax 8 ensures 100% of eligible business households convert to declaration method

On the afternoon of November 11, the Tax Department of 8 Thanh Hoa provinces held a conference to deploy the Project on converting the model and method of tax management for business households when eliminating lump-sum tax and launching a 60-day peak campaign determined to convert business households paying taxes by the lump-sum method to the declaration method.

Representatives of Tax Department 8 answered questions from people and businesses at the conference.

At the conference, representatives of government leaders and relevant departments and offices of 17 communes and production and business households under the management of Tax Department 8 received the contents of the project to convert the model and method of tax management for business households when eliminating lump-sum tax.

Accordingly, from January 1, 2026, the State will abolish lump-sum tax and change the tax management model for business households, regulating benefits and obligations when business households switch to the declaration method or become enterprises.

On this occasion, Tax Department 8 launched a 60-day peak campaign to support business households in converting to tax declaration methods with the message: "60 days of action, substantial transformation, raising the level of business households in declaration, transparency, and modernity".

This is a key task to modernize tax management, ensure fairness and transparency in tax collection policies, and at the same time create conditions for business households in the management area of ​​Tax Department 8 to expand their scale and integrate with the digital economy .
