The average Lunar New Year bonus in 2025 for employees working in industrial parks and export processing zones in Ho Chi Minh City is from 8.5 to 8.9 million VND/person.

The Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City Export Processing and Industrial Zones (Hepza) has just sent a report to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on taking care of the Lunar New Year 2025 for workers in the Export Processing Zones and Industrial Parks in the City.

Hepza said that through the survey of 421 enterprises and the direct survey results at 32 enterprises, the average Tet bonus for employees working for 12 months is from 8.5 million VND/person (domestic enterprises) and 8.9 million VND (FDI enterprises). The average bonus this year is about 1 million VND/person higher than last year's Tet.

In addition to the Tet bonus, businesses also support workers in many other ways such as: organizing buses to take workers home, Tet gifts, visiting workers in difficult circumstances, etc.

While most businesses give Tet bonuses to employees, 6 businesses have difficulties in production and are unable to give Tet bonuses to a total of 1,135 employees (an increase of 757 compared to 2024).

To support workers who do not receive Tet bonuses, Hepza has coordinated with the Trade Union of the City's Export Processing and Industrial Zones and the City's Workers Support Fund to visit and give workers a gift worth 1.5 - 2 million VND/person.

During the days before Tet, there were two collective labor disputes at Yujin Vina Company Limited (Linh Trung Export Processing Zone, Thu Duc City) and Vinh Thong Production, Trade and Service Company Limited (Tan Binh Industrial Park) related to Tet bonuses for employees.

After that, Hepza coordinated with relevant units to work with businesses and agreed on the Tet bonus level for employees.

At the same time, Hepza, together with the City Export Processing and Industrial Zones Trade Union and the City Workers Support Fund, supported workers at the above two enterprises with a support level of 1.5 - 2 million VND/person.

According to Hepza, in 2024, the world economic situation will be more positive, but some manufacturing industries in industrial parks in Ho Chi Minh City will recover slowly, businesses will face difficulties in production activities, leading to the inability to give Tet bonuses to employees.

Therefore, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, Hepza coordinated with the Association of Industrial Park Enterprises and the City Workers Support Fund to mobilize social resources and organize many activities to care for the material and spiritual life of workers working in the City's Export Processing Zones and Industrial Parks with a total amount of 87.3 billion VND, an increase of 50.9% compared to 2024.
