Reenactment of the King giving royal tea to his mandarins
Royal Tea Ceremony is organized by the Hue Monuments Conservation Center in collaboration with the brand Doi Dep and Nam A Bank, recreating the ritual and reenacting the scene of the king holding a tea party to entertain his courtiers.
This activity joins the national atmosphere towards the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification and the National Tourism Year 2025 with the theme Hue - Ancient Capital, New Opportunities associated with Hue Festival 2025.

Re-enacting the Royal Tea Ceremony
The Royal Tea Ceremony reenactment was held at Di Nhien Duong (Di Nhien: Natural Nourishment).
Di Nhien Duong House, along with Cam Xuan Duong, Ham Xuan Hien, and Vinh Phuong Hien, are the structures located on four sides of the unique architectural model "Van Tu Hoi Lang", which means there is a "Van" shaped corridor in the middle of Thieu Phuong garden.

Thieu Phuong Garden is one of the typical Royal Gardens of the Nguyen Dynasty, built in 1828, under King Minh Mang and located in the east inside the Forbidden City.
That historical information is the basis for choosing the location to organize the reenactment of Royal Tea Ceremony at Thieu Phuong Garden, creating the premise for regularly organizing practical experience activities for tourists when visiting the Imperial City to understand the quintessence of Vietnamese Tea Ceremony in the form of Royal Tea Ceremony.
The tea-drinking space displays pairs of parallel sentences written by King Thieu Tri from his poems in the form of parallel sentences in the ancient palace.
At the same time, on display are inlaid bone poems such as Vu trung son thuy (Mountains and water in the rain) - a unique wordplay poem by King Thieu Tri, the philosophical poem Man ca (ramble song) about the life of King Tu Duc, the Nom poem Mung dang mua expressing King Tu Duc's joy when praying for rain, the joy of farming;
The poem Tan Thieu Thi But (Testing the first pen of the year) by King Thanh Thai was written about the scenery of Than Kinh with favorable weather and the hope of a bountiful harvest.
The King held a Royal Tea Party.
The most famous of these poems are the two poems Vu trung son thuy (Mountains and water in the rain) and Phuoc vien van hoi huong da man ngam (Poetry night in Phuoc Vien) inlaid with mother-of-pearl on two wooden walls of the palace.
In the scene where the king holds a tea party to entertain his courtiers and guests, while drinking tea, the king and his officials recite poems and rhyme, together composing a seven-word eight-line poem about enjoying tea in times of peace .
The king ordered the musicians and singers to recite the poem that the king and his officials had just composed. In his high spirits, the king invited the officials and guests to enjoy the elegant music.
Finally, the king served tea to the officials and gave tea to the guests and declared the tea ceremony over. The attendees then continued to chat and stroll in the Thieu Phuong garden.
