Handing over 2 gratitude houses in Tan Loi Thanh commune.
Attending the ceremony were Lieutenant Colonel Doan Ngoc Bau - Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard; Mr. Nguyen Anh Quoc - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kien Giang Construction Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company 68 sponsors and representatives of local departments and organizations.
Two gratitude houses were presented to the family of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tu, Giong Sau hamlet and the family of Mrs. Cao Thi Nem, Giong Dong hamlet. The construction cost was sponsored by Mr. Nguyen Anh Quoc, with a total cost of 140 million VND (each house costs 70 million VND, the rest is contributed by the family). Each house has a usable area of 67.5m² and 40m², solidly built, ensuring essential living conditions, contributing to the long-term stability of the households.
Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Doan Ngoc Bau highly appreciated Mr. Nguyen Anh Quoc's gesture, and affirmed that this is a practical activity responding to the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses according to the policy of the Party and State, contributing to ensuring social security and building a solid people's border defense posture.
Representatives of the households receiving the houses were moved to express their gratitude to the leaders and sponsors for their timely attention and support, helping the families have a stable place to live, feel secure in doing business and developing the economy . Thereby clearly demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, humanity of the community and the attachment between the border guards and the people in the area.
