This is a program organized by the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, the Youth Union of the Army, in coordination with the Political Department of Military Region 2 and agencies, units and localities, to practically celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

Attending the program were leaders of Tuyen Quang Province, Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, General Departments, Military Region 2, Military Medical Academy; agencies under the Ministry of National Defense , General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, Military Region 2, Military Command of Tuyen Quang Province, Division 316; 80 outstanding officers and union members of the entire army, along with a large number of officers and soldiers of Military Region 2, union members, youth and people in the area where the unit is stationed.

The program aims to promote to the youth of the Army and the youth of the whole country a deeper understanding of the position, great stature, and great historical value of the August Revolution and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, in the history of national construction and defense; affirm the leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh in the cause of national liberation, national reunification, construction and defense of the Fatherland.

The program contributes to educating, encouraging and motivating the youth of the entire army to continue promoting the tradition of patriotism, national pride, self-reliance, self-improvement, aspiration to contribute and the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source", being proactive, creative, determined to excellently complete tasks, contributing significantly to the cause of building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite and modern army, together with the youth and people of the whole country, bringing the country forward quickly, strongly and firmly into a new era, an era of strong and prosperous development of the nation.

At the program, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh and delegates presented 20 gifts from the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to representatives of policy families in Tuyen Quang province; 20 gifts to cadres, employees, union members and youths in difficult circumstances in Military Region 2 and 20 gifts to students who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies in Tuyen Quang province.

Next, the delegates enjoyed the art program “Raising the August Red Flag” with elaborate and vivid reports and special performances, singing and dancing, praising the country, the glorious Party, the great Uncle Ho, the heroic Army; affirming the great role of the Army’s youth in the struggle for national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland since the establishment of the Vietnam People’s Army until now as well as in the current period. The performances were performed by famous artists in the Army and the unit’s youth union members.
