Seeing that the man was showing signs of hunger and exhaustion, Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Van Thoa arranged food and accommodation for the man to ensure his health.

Because the man was deaf, communication was very difficult. Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Van Thoa tried to verify his identity as Sung Mi To (born in 1977, in Then Phang commune, Xin Man district, Ha Giang province).

The Deputy Chief of Police of Bo Muoi Commune quickly called Sung Mi To's relatives to inform them. When he came to pick up his relatives, Sung Mi Pao (Sung Mi To's younger brother) said: Sung Mi To got lost while taking his wife to work in Yen Bai province. The family searched many places but could not find her.

On behalf of the family, Mr. Pao thanked Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Van Thoa for helping the family find their relatives.
