The Office has promptly synthesized, advised, proposed and helped the Provincial People's Committee and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee issue nearly 20,000 documents directing and operating activities in all economic - social, national defense and security fields to ensure timeliness and effectiveness.

Through the working process, many civil servants and public employees have been trained and matured, mobilized, rotated, and appointed to lead departments, branches, and localities, promoting their capacity, responsibility, and experience in office work while participating in leadership at localities and units.

EFFECTIVENESS FROM THE EXCITING COMPETITION MOVEMENT

Currently, the Office of the People's Committee of Kien Giang province has 9 affiliated units including 6 specialized departments, 1 board, 1 center and 1 public service unit, with a total of 83 civil servants, public employees and workers. The Office of the People's Committee of the province has promptly advised the People's Committee of the province to issue a decision regulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Office of the People's Committee of the province according to the guidance of the Government Office in Circular No. 01/2022/TT-VPCP, dated May 2, 2022.

Based on the staff planning, the office has sent civil servants and public employees for training and development to improve their professional qualifications and skills according to the civil servant and public employee training and development plan (in the first 6 months of 2023, 5 classes and 12 cases were sent for training and development).

Implement salary regimes and other regimes and policies on treatment of civil servants, public employees and workers in the agency promptly and fully according to regulations; care for material and spiritual life is given attention.

The Office of the People's Committee of Kien Giang province is the first unit of the province to implement digital signature according to its authority.

In order to encourage and promote the sense of responsibility, initiative and creativity of civil servants, public employees and workers at the unit, every year the Office of the People's Committee of Kien Giang province and the grassroots Trade Union launch many emulation movements with diverse and rich contents. The movements all take productivity, quality and work efficiency as measures to evaluate emulation achievements.

From the beginning of 2023, 100% of the collectives and individuals under the office registered for the emulation; In the first 6 months of 2023, the Provincial People's Committee Office was awarded a certificate of merit by the Provincial People's Committee for being typical and advanced examples in patriotic emulation movements.

In addition, the office proposed that the Emulation and Reward Board of Kien Giang province synthesize and submit to the Provincial People's Committee to propose the Prime Minister to award a certificate of merit to 1 collective and 1 individual with excellent achievements in completing tasks for 5 consecutive years. Thereby creating a spreading effect, promoting the spirit of enthusiasm in competing to carry out the assigned targets and tasks of each department, office, and unit, contributing to the successful implementation of the common targets and tasks of the Provincial People's Committee Office.
