The above warning was emphasized at a conference to evaluate the results of natural disaster prevention and search and rescue work organized by Song Tranh 2 Hydropower Plant on the morning of August 20.

According to the report at the conference, at the end of the 2024 flood season, there were 4 floods in the basin of Song Tranh 2 Hydropower Reservoir with a total water volume of more than 933.9 million ^m3 . Prevention, response and recovery work were carried out promptly and effectively by Song Tranh Hydropower Company, so there was no loss of life or property.

Many opinions at the conference emphasized that in September this year, there is a possibility of 1-2 floods on the rivers. In October and November, there are 2-4 floods. In December, there is a possibility of more floods on the rivers, with the highest flood peak at alert level 1 and alert level 2.

Authorities have asked localities to take precautions against flash floods and landslides, which could have negative impacts on the environment, threaten people's lives, cause local traffic congestion, and destroy civil works...

Mr. Vu Duc Toan, Director of Song Tranh Hydropower Company, said that the hydrometeorological situation in the last months of 2025 is likely to be complicated, the company's Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue will assign members to closely monitor.

Urge and direct the implementation of work to prevent and overcome consequences of natural disasters; operate and regulate to ensure safety of the dam and reservoir of Song Tranh 2 hydropower plant.
