The first to dock at Ha Long International Cruise Port at 13:20 was the Qingdao team, followed by the Zhuhai team, which docked at 13:55. Upon arriving at Ha Long, fresh bouquets of flowers were presented to the talented captains and excellent crew who had led the ship through many challenges on the ocean to reach the finish line first. The Clipper Race Organizing Committee said that the Vietnamese yacht racing team named "Ha Long Bay, Viet Nam" ranked 5th in the round- the-world sailing fleet and will also dock at Ha Long International Cruise Port today, February 18.

"Ha Long Bay, Viet Nam" was established under a cooperation agreement between the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province and Clipper Ventures Company - the organizer of the boat race. The "Ha Long Bay, Viet Nam" team has about 60 members of different nationalities, aged from 27 to 73, but there are no Vietnamese. The members will take turns participating in each race until the end. The captain of the team is Mr. Josh Stickland, a British man (37 years old), who started boat racing at the age of 10. NH [/caption] The only Vietnamese racing team participating in the Clipper race for the first time in the 2019 - 2020 season, departing from England on September 1, 2019. The Clipper race in the 2023 - 2024 season with nearly 400 sailors on 11 sailboats is divided into 8 stages with 16 individual races and 6 ocean crossings. The destination of Ha Long is in the 5th race, called the Asia - Pacific Challenge. This is a test of the skills, endurance and determination of the sailors. Completed earlier than expected, after 21 days of overcoming many challenges in unpredictable conditions such as storms and intense heat, the 11 racing teams traveled 4,515 nautical miles to Ha Long Bay and arrived at Ha Long International Passenger Port in turn on February 18 and 19.
