(HNMO) - After the friendly match with the Hong Kong team (China), the Vietnamese team will have a second friendly match against the Syrian team on June 20 at Thien Truong Stadium ( Nam Dinh ), within the framework of FIFA Days in June 2023.
On June 13, a working delegation of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) led by General Secretary Duong Nghiep Khoi had a working session with the local organizing committee on specific issues surrounding the organization of this friendly match.
At the meeting, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nam Dinh province Nguyen Tien Dung expressed his honor to welcome the Vietnamese team to Nam Dinh to compete after 16 years. Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung shared that in 2007, Nam Dinh hosted the match between the Vietnamese Olympic team and the Lebanese Olympic team in the third qualifying round of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Since then, after 16 years, Thien Truong Stadium has had the opportunity to welcome the National Team to compete again. “Nam Dinh fans are very excited and looking forward to the match of the Vietnamese team. We are determined to closely coordinate with the VFF to successfully organize the match, thereby also contributing to promoting and introducing to domestic and international friends the cultural identity, the fair-play spirit of the Vietnamese people in general, the people and cultural identity of Nam Dinh in particular to international friends, as the success that Nam Dinh achieved at the recent 31st SEA Games”, said Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung.
On behalf of VFF, VFF General Secretary Duong Nghiep Khoi acknowledged and highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and professionalism in implementing the match organization of the local organizing committee, especially the participation and active direction of the provincial leaders, leaders of departments, branches and relevant units of the province.
VFF believes that the friendly match between Vietnam and Syria will become a meaningful festival for Nam Dinh football fans in particular and the whole country in general.
It is forecasted that the demand to come to Thien Truong Stadium to watch the Vietnam team's match will increase significantly in the coming days, so the local Organizing Committee is urgently developing and agreeing on an optimal ticket issuance plan to ensure service for fans.
Tickets for the match between Vietnam and Syria are expected to go on sale from June 16, with three prices: 300,000 VND (stand A), 200,000 VND (stand B) and 50,000 VND (stands C and D).
