Tien Giang brings Don ca tai tu to serve tourists

On April 6, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tien Giang province organized a Southern amateur music performance program to serve tourists at the Ky Lan Honey tourist site (Thoi Thanh hamlet, Thoi Son commune, My Tho city).

At the program, artists from the Don Ca Tai Tu Club of My Tho City performed 7 Don Ca Tai Tu pieces, including Northern and Southern melodies; and 2-beat and 32-beat vọng cổ songs.

The artists bring to visitors typical Don ca tai tu songs: "Song Tien se moi to hong" by composer Huynh Anh; traditional singing (single female) "Bong sen" by composer Tran Nam Dan, "Bong bon bon" by composer Ngo Hong Khanh; Tay Thi (3 layers); "Bac la hau thai duong" by composer The Chau... The musical instruments used are guitar with concave keys; dan kim; dan tranh...

The Don ca tai tu art performance program will continue at 9:30 a.m. today, Sunday, April 7.

Tien Giang is a land with a rich cultural history, the birthplace of many great names of Southern reformed theater and My Tho was the birthplace of the Don ca tai tu movement in the early years of the 20th century.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tien Giang province, the Don ca tai tu performance activity for tourists opened at tourist attractions as a result of a recent training course for Don ca tai tu performers at Thoi Son Tourist Area.
