The program features the participation of former swimmer Nguyen Thi Anh Vien, in the role of content consultant for the publication 30 Days to Learn About Drowning Prevention , and Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Chi Thanh, Deputy Head of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department PC07, Ho Chi Minh City Police.
Through the two books, the authors hope to raise awareness and equip children and the community with fire safety and drowning prevention skills, especially this summer.

30 Days of Learning About Fire Prevention and Fighting with Children was carefully compiled with the professional advice of Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Huu Dan, former Head of the Department of Law, Police Profession, Fire Prevention and Fighting University. With 5 main parts, the book provides parents and children with basic knowledge about fire and fire-causing factors, instructions on fire prevention measures in life, recognizing fire alarm signals and how to sound the alarm. Along with that are escape skills in case of fire and initial fire fighting skills.
Equally important is the publication 30 Days to Learn About Drowning Prevention . Both books are presented scientifically , according to each day of study in 30 days, helping children access knowledge easily, without being overloaded. Along with that are vivid, funny illustrations, simulating real-life situations to help children visualize, remember, and practice easily. The book also integrates review, games, and role-playing as propagandists, helping children absorb knowledge proactively and creatively.
Sharing the reason for accepting to be an advisor for the book 30 Days to Learn About Drowning Prevention , former swimmer Nguyen Thi Anh Vien said that every year in Vietnam, when summer comes, children often go to playgrounds to swim. And since then, drowning has happened a lot. This is not just now but has been happening for a long time. Ever since she was an athlete, every time she heard about drowning accidents on the news, Anh Vien was so worried and thought about it that she could not sleep.
“I really think swimming is easy to learn. That is why, after quitting swimming and going out to teach swimming, I set myself a goal and intention to strive to inspire and share the most basic knowledge and experience for children to come to swimming. Participating as a consultant for this book, I really hope that when children read it, they will at least be inspired and love water. And they will go to swimming lessons. The book shares with children the most basic knowledge so that they know why they drown, what dangerous situations they are in when they are in the water,” Nguyen Thi Anh Vien expressed.
With 24 years of experience in rescue and fire prevention, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Chi Thanh believes that in the current complicated fire and explosion situation, fire prevention and rescue skills are very important and necessary skills for us, especially children.
“In particular, there are skills that we must equip them with right now, helping them have basic skills so that when a fire or explosion occurs, they will know how to escape from danger and keep themselves safe,” said Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Chi Thanh.
