In the Southeast region, pepper prices today in Ba Ria - Vung Tau increased by 5,000 VND/kg, reaching 133,000 VND/kg. In Binh Phuoc, it increased by 3,000 VND/kg, reaching 131,000 VND/kg; and in Dong Nai, it increased by 3,000 VND/kg, reaching 130,000 VND/kg.
In the world market, according to data from the International Pepper Community (IPC), on May 31 (local time), pepper prices of all types in Indonesia fluctuated slightly; meanwhile, pepper prices in other countries remained stable.

A fruit seller in Song Ma (Son La) said that every day they sell at the wholesale market and through online customers about a ton of early-ripening Song Ma longan.
With the current price of early ripe longan, they said it is slightly higher than last year, about 5,000 VND/kg.

Every day, they go to the gardens around where they live to pick early ripe longan bunches. Each day, they collect from several hundred kilograms to more than a ton of fruit.
Currently, the wholesale price for the wholesalers is also high. For large, even and beautiful fruits, the retail price is up to 70,000 VND/kg, while for smaller fruits or those with less beautiful designs, the price is a bit lower, ranging from 50,000 - 60,000 VND/kg.
Another longan buyer residing in Song Ma, Son La) has been buying early-ripening longans for several years now. They said that the purchase price at the garden this year is the same as last year, ranging from 36,000 - 40,000 VND/kg.
It is known that usually around July every year, the main longan season is for harvest, but for the past month, some longan gardens of farmers in Song Ma district, Son La province are being harvested.

In the past month of harvesting, they have collected more than 1 ton of fruit to sell at the market and online. The rest, she sent to the dealers in Hanoi and Hai Phong. Accordingly, this type of mango is very popular, so she sells out as soon as she harvests, leaving no inventory. Up to now, they have 320 purple mango trees in the garden. With each mature purple mango tree, they can collect several dozen kilograms to a hundred kilograms of fruit.
Each purple mango harvested weighs an average of about 1kg/fruit. Occasionally, there are fruits with a “huge” weight, weighing from 1.2 - 1.5kg/fruit. This mango has a flat seed, is very crunchy when green, but when ripe, it is soft, sweet, and has a characteristic aroma.
Like every year, most farmers here sell their mangoes for around 28,000 - 30,000 VND/kg. But this year, due to economic difficulties, they only sell them for 20,000 VND/kg. At this price, growers have made a profit. On the market, purple mangoes are sold all over the online market. Each kilogram of purple mangoes is sold for an average price of 30,000 - 55,000 VND/kg.

High yield purple onion season
Vinh Chau town (Soc Trang) is considered the "capital" of purple onions. These days, farmers are in the peak harvest season. All over the fields, purple onions are piled up. On the country roads, vehicles specializing in transporting onions are bustling in and out.
Purple onion is the main crop that brings a stable life to the Khmer people in the coastal area of Vinh Chau. This year, the whole Vinh Chau town planted over 5,400 hectares of onion. Farmers here said that this year their family cultivated 7 hectares (7,000 m2 ) of purple onions. Thanks to organic farming, the plants grew well, the tubers were firm, the colors were beautiful, and the yield was 30% higher than the previous crop. They calculated that with the current selling price, their family would earn a profit of about 20 million VND/hectare.
