The award was given to EVNHCMC in Category 2: Top Organization/Enterprise/ Science & Technology for innovation and digital transformation, recognizing the pioneering and effective efforts of the unit in the journey of digital transformation, application of modern technology and improvement of customer service quality.
Also in the program, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh - General Director of EVNHCMC was honored in Category 5: Pioneering Leader/Entrepreneur in innovation, creativity and digital transformation in the era of national development. This is a recognition of the strategic orientation role and leadership capacity in the comprehensive innovation of the Corporation.
With the orientation of "Digital enterprise, digital service", EVNHCMC has synchronously deployed many solutions: Providing 100% of online services via website, national public service portal, Ho Chi Minh City public service portal and EVNHCMC App; completing the deployment of electronic electricity services (OTP and digital signature); over 80% of customer service requests are received and processed automatically via AI tools (Chatbot, call box...) to help reduce waiting time, customers receive quick and timely feedback.
Being the first unit in the industry to complete the replacement of 100% of electronic meters with remote data collection function, helping customers via EVNHCMC App to monitor daily electricity consumption. Approximately 100% of customers pay for electricity without cash.
Pioneering in promoting the application of advanced technologies of the world's electricity industry such as: new material technology; technology to monitor the operation of electrical equipment in real time; specialized and modern means and equipment for construction and repair of electricity; improving tools, instruments, and equipment for workers repairing and constructing power grids; researching and testing the production of mobile generator models; power supply models using mobile UPS vehicles; effectively applying information technology and digital technology in improving the operation and management of power grids.
By the end of 2022, Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation was the first enterprise in the country to be certified by the Ministry of Information and Communications as a digital enterprise. By 2024, the Corporation had achieved an advanced level of digital transformation (level 4/5).
In addition, the Corporation has received many international and domestic awards and titles such as: In 2023, EVNHCMC won the Smart Grid Project of the Year award at the ENLIT ASIA 2023 international conference - becoming the first unit in the Vietnamese electricity industry to be honored in the field of smart grid development. In 2024, EVNHCMC continued to be honored with the Smart Grid Award 2024 by Power Magazine (USA) for the DAS distribution grid automation project and at ENLIT ASIA 2024 continued to win the Smart Grid award for the "Power Outage Management Map" project.
In 2024, EVNHCMC's Smart Grid Index (SGI) will reach 80.4/100 points, ranking 41/92 Power companies with smart grids in the world , equal to the scores of power companies Western Power - Australia, Dominion Energy - USA, BC Hydro and Hydro Ottawa - Canada, TNB - Malaysia and Westnetz - Germany. EVNHCMC is also one of two Vietnamese enterprises honored to receive the ASEAN Innovative Enterprise Award at the Asia IoT Business Forum (AIBP) with the project "Developing Smart Grid".
The 4th Vietnam Industry 4.0 Award in 2025 is a timely and well-deserved recognition for EVNHCMC, a unit that always strives to innovate for the benefit of the community and the sustainable development of Vietnam's electricity industry in the digital transformation period.
