Searching for musical talent through the 6th Ho Chi Minh City Band and Group Festival

(To Quoc) - Continuing the success of previous events, the 6th Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) Band and Singing Group Festival attracted many bands and singing groups from clubs, art groups... in HCMC, becoming a playground to find musical talents in the city.

After 5 successful times, the 6th Ho Chi Minh City Band and Singing Festival with artistic performances and programs will be performed by singers and musicians from famous bands and singing groups in the city, along with bands and singing groups from universities such as: University of Science and Technology, Hutech University, University of Industry and Trade, University of Culture, City Conservatory of Music... promising to bring to the Festival musical works that bring many emotions to the public in enjoying the arts.

The Ho Chi Minh City Band and Singing Festival organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports and the Ho Chi Minh City Cultural Center is an opportunity for bands, musicians and singers from clubs and groups to demonstrate their artistic talents and exchange experiences in performance and musical skills; creating a healthy and useful playground, thereby contributingto the education and aesthetic orientation of the young generation, contributing to the creation of a diverse and modern artistic space typical of Ho Chi Minh City - a dynamic, developing and internationally integrated city.

The festival was organized with 03 (three) competition groups, Group A took place from November 14 and 15 at the Riverside Park of Thu Duc City, attracting many bands and singing groups from clubs and art groups of the Cultural Center of 21 districts and Thu Duc City. With careful preparation, the performances brought the audience a passionate atmosphere and impressive emotions.

According to the plan, Group B (bands and singing groups affiliated with high schools, colleges and universities in Ho Chi Minh City) and Group C (freelance groups and self-managed activities in the community) will take place on December 18 and 19, 2024 at Stadium 4A, Youth Cultural House (District 1).

The "judges" at the Festival are famous musicians and singers with a lot of experience as judges at competitions and festivals such as: Musician Nguyen Duc Trung - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association, Meritorious Artist Tran Vuong Thach - Former Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera, singer Doan Trang, singer Ho Trung Dung...

The closing ceremony and award ceremony of the 6th Ho Chi Minh City Band and Singing Group Festival 2024 is expected to take place at 8:00 p.m. on December 28 at the main stage on Le Loi Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
