On May 13, the People's Committee of Ca Mau province said that it will organize many diverse and rich activities in the second crab festival, scheduled to be held from November 11 to 13 with the theme "Ca Mau crab: Forest scent, sea taste".
As planned, the second Ca Mau crab festival is a provincial-level event, attracting about 10,000 visitors. The festival has 6 main activities including: opening and closing programs; crab trade exhibition, start-up products, innovation and OCOP, and Ca Mau crab culinary area.
Series of forums, conferences, seminars; series of competitions: Crab Master Chef, setting a record for Ca Mau crab; street art performances, cultural and artistic exchanges of Don Ca Tai Tu in the Mekong Delta, grand music festivals...
In addition, the festival also has 5 response activities such as: Ca Mau beautiful photo contest, composing "Songs about Ca Mau", composing identity (logo, funny icons, identity icons) for Ca Mau crab brand and OCOP Ca Mau product identity; "Cross-country competition to conquer Mui Dat Xanh"; mass gymnastics performance; setting records for cuisine, tourist destinations, accommodation facilities, restaurants... of the province.

The opening ceremony and art performance program of the 2nd Ca Mau Crab Festival are scheduled to be held at Phan Ngoc Hien Square (Le Duan Street, Ward 1, Ca Mau City). The "Crab Master Chef" competition will combine with performances of crab dishes.
The competition to set a record for Ca Mau crabs with the form of selecting the largest crab; displaying and introducing commercial crab farming models; molting crab farming models... will be the contents to attract tourists to the festival.
Ca Mau is the leading province in the country with a crab farming area of over 250,000 hectares, with an output of over 25,000 tons per year. Sea crab is considered the main product of this province with a total value of nearly 10,000 billion VND/year.
