Data from the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA) shows that in the first 6 months of 2025, Vietnam imported 28,296 tons of pepper, reaching a turnover of 174 million USD, up 57% in volume and 150% in value compared to the same period in 2024. The fact that pepper prices in Brazil and Indonesia are significantly lower than domestic prices is a factor that makes many Vietnamese businesses prioritize imports for processing and re-export.
