News and events - Binh Duong: Summary of 50 years of Literature

Attending the event were Mr. Nguyen Huy Ngoc - Head of Local Department 3, Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee; Mr. Le Song Tung - Head of Southern Representative Office of Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations.

On the side of Binh Duong province, there were Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; Ms. Nguyen Truong Nhat Phuong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Bui Minh Tri - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Over the past 50 years, the artists of Binh Duong province have continuously grown. The provincial Literature and Arts Association currently has more than 400 members, many of whom are members of the Central Professional Association.

Many works of members have won high prizes in the region and nationwide, deeply reflecting the social life and beauty of Binh Duong people. Art forms from literature, music , fine arts to photography, theater, dance... have developed quite evenly, constantly innovated and created. Huynh Van Nghe Awards, creative programs, art exchanges are continuously organized, and investment in infrastructure of cultural and social works is a testament to the attention of provincial leaders to the development of culture and art.

In addition, arteducation activities in schools, mass art movements, theory and criticism classes, and cultural socialization activities also developed strongly.

The conference heard presentations from leaders, former leaders of the Literature and Arts Association and artists who contributed to the development of the province's literature and arts.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Bui Minh Tri - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that Binh Duong is a locality with a diverse culture formed through different historical periods with creative thinking. In the process of socio-economic development, the locality always focuses on promoting traditional values, considering this a solid spiritual foundation, creating momentum for sustainable development.

He requested that, in the context of integration, urbanization and digital transformation, it is necessary to aim at building a culture and art that is both rich in national identity and integrated, spreading good values; at the same time, developing a force of artists with the courage and creative aspirations, closely connected to real life and the people; forming an open creative environment, applying digital technology, arousing the potential of the whole society, especially the young generation.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee honored and rewarded 51 artists who made outstanding contributions to the development of the province's arts and culture after the country's reunification.

Provincial leaders presented flowers to thank family representatives of officials and artists.
