MU considers buying Mateta
According to the British press, MU is considering buying Jean-Philippe Mateta - a "number 9" solution at a not too high cost.
MU just beat West Ham 2-1 in a friendly match in the US. There, Rasmus Hojlund once again disappointed, forcing Ruben Amorim to find a new striker.
Mateta is a striker with a very prominent physique and good ability to sweep. The French player knows how to move to create space for Bryan Mbeumo or Matheus Cunha.
MU are expected to negotiate with Crystal Palace about this 28-year-old striker - who has experience in English football , and the price is not more than 50 million pounds.
On the other hand, the Red Devils are listening to offers for Hojlund - who is of interest to Milan and Lazio.
Chelsea close to buying Donnarumma
Chelsea received optimistic signals in the transfer of goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma from PSG.
Ahead of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, Chelsea wanted to sign Mike Maignan but failed to reach an agreement with AC Milan.
During the preparation for the Club World Cup final (winning 3-0 against PSG), Chelsea had expressed their desire to have goalkeeper Donnarumma - who was stuck in a contract extension with the Parisian capital team.
The latest contract extension talks between PSG and Donnarumma have come to nothing.
The Champions League winners are forced to consider selling Donnarumma this summer, with Chelsea preparing to hold formal talks with the Italian goalkeeper.
Tottenham contact Joao Palhinha
Tottenham continue to stir up the transfer market by contacting Bayern Munich target Joao Palnhinha.
Tottenham representatives have made enquiries with Palhinha's management to learn about the Portuguese midfielder's wishes.
New coach Thomas Frank really wants Palhinha to strengthen Tottenham, in the return season to the Champions League.
If an agreement is reached with the 30-year-old midfielder, Tottenham will officially submit an offer to Bayern Munich this week .
