Organize city-level English seminars

(CPV) On the morning of November 1, the Department of Education and Training of Hai Phong City organized a seminar on "Using digital learning resources and applying AI to teaching English for grade 5 - General Education Program (GDPT) 2018" at the city level.

Leaders of the City Department of Education and Training and leaders of the An Duong District People's Committee presented flowers to congratulate teachers who implemented the project.

At the seminar, delegates listened to reports on the application of teaching software, exploitation and use of digital learning resources and the application of AI technology platforms in teaching English by the Department of Education and Training of Duong Kinh district; Illustrative English lesson by teacher Nguyen Thi Thuan and students of class 5A5, Tan Tien Primary School, An Duong district.

Accordingly, in the 2024-2025 school year, the Ministry of Education and Training will deploy many new contents, including applying teaching software, exploiting and using digital learning resources and applying the foundation of AI artificial intelligence technology in organizing management and teaching to meet the requirements of digital transformation in education and training. Grasping the innovative spirit of the Ministry of Education and Training, the Hai Phong City Education sector in general and Duong Kinh district and An Duong district in particular will research and actively apply it in teaching activities, especially teaching English in primary schools to maximize students' qualities and abilities according to the objectives of the 2018 General Education Program.

At the seminar, delegates attended Unit 4: Free Time taught by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuan and students of class 5A5, Tan Tien Primary School, An Duong district. The class was lively when the teacher exploited digital learning resources to help access information, create ideas, design lessons, songs, pictures, and learning games to become interesting, effective, fast, and exciting for students. Applying modern applications, the teacher helped students practice 4 skills: Listening - Speaking - Reading - Writing. From there, students proactively grasp knowledge, contributing to the development of general competencies and specific language competencies to apply in life, study, and form digital citizenship skills in the 4.0 technology era.

The seminar was organized to create opportunities for schools to learn, share, exchange, and orient themselves on how to organize teaching and evaluate students.
