Representatives of the Standing Committee of the Association of War Veterans of Tam Duong district reviewed the 35-year tradition of building and growing the Vietnam Association of War Veterans (December 6, 1989 - December 6, 2024).

At the seminar, the 35-year tradition of building and growing of the Vietnam Veterans Association (December 6, 1989 - December 6, 2024) was reviewed; through a summary report on the results of 35 years of operation of the Tam Duong District Veterans Association. Accordingly, implementing the directives and resolutions of the Party and the State, Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee issued Decision No. 86-QD/TU, dated April 9, 1990 on "Establishing the Provincial Veterans Association". In 2024, the Vietnam Veterans Association will be 35 years old and also 34 years of building, growing and operating the Phong Tho - Tam Duong - Lai Chau Town Veterans Association.

Since its establishment, the Association of War Veterans in Phong Tho - Tam Duong district - Lai Chau town has gone through 7 Congresses. Over the past 35 years, the work of building the association has always been considered important in terms of both quantity and quality. Up to now, the Association of War Veterans in Tam Duong district consists of 14 associations, including 13 grassroots associations and 1 Association of War Veterans in the agency sector, operating in 126 branches, currently having 1,825 members. The association members are 386 party members, accounting for 21% of the total number of members. 100% of the associations and branches have achieved good or better, there are no weak associations and branches.

Tam Duong District Veterans Association actively and effectively participates in the emulation movements "Exemplary Veterans", "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas (NTM)", Veterans help each other reduce poverty, do good business in all areas of economic development, culture, society, national defense, and security of the locality. Do a good job of building the "comradely affection" fund, the Veterans' education encouragement fund; donate blood... Promote charitable activities among Veterans Association members such as: building houses for 31 poor Veterans Association members worth 1.01 billion VND, giving gifts to members in difficult circumstances on holidays, Lunar New Year...

Speaking at the seminar, representatives of generations of war veterans shared memories, expressed their thoughts and aspirations during the process of building and growing the district War Veterans Association.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the District People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 7 collectives with achievements in 35 years of establishment and operation of the Association of War Veterans (December 6, 1989 - December 6, 2024). Leaders of the Provincial Association of War Veterans and Tam Duong District Party Committee presented gifts and flowers to the Association of War Veterans of Tam Duong District. The Association of War Veterans of Tam Duong District presented gifts to delegates of former Chairmen of the Association of War Veterans of the district, communes and towns through the periods; and outstanding members of the Association of War Veterans of communes and towns.
