Comrade Tran Thanh Binh, Deputy Secretary of Cau Ke District Party Committee informed: In the past, tourism development in Cau Ke has many limitations, not commensurate with the advantages and potentials of the district. To develop tourism in the district in the coming time, the District has proposed a number of key orientations and solutions: planning, continuing to adjust and supplement the master plan for tourism development in Cau Ke district until 2025 and vision to 2030;

In particular, focus on building tourism clusters: (1) Tan Qui Islet Central Tourism Cluster, An Phu Tan Commune and An Loc Islet, Hoa Tan Commune); with tourism products such as river bathing, resorts, fruit gardens, natural landscapes, weekend breaks; (2) Cau Ke, Chau Dien, Hoa An and Tam Ngai Town Cluster as a center for traditional, historical, cultural and spiritual tourism; (3) Homestay Experience Tourism Cluster for tourists to experience the reality of "eating and staying at home" in a rustic direction. Implement investment attraction policies and mechanisms, create conditions to support legal rights to use for local tourism investment projects for long-term stability so that investors can feel secure. Support to ensure clean land for tourism projects to develop quickly and effectively. Create conditions to attract investment from businesses, especially in the fields of restaurants, hotels and catering.

However, delegates are still concerned about picking up and dropping off tourists; festival activities are seasonal and short-lived, so it is difficult to create a connecting tour. The district needs to connect tourism through specialties as gifts when tourists come to Cau Ke; experiential activities at historical and spiritual sites, etc.

According to Mr. Le Dinh Bich, Lecturer of the Faculty of Pedagogy, Can Tho University: the locality has favorable conditions for tourism development; the “highlight” of Cau Ke is the fresh, quiet air; visitors will be immersed in the cool, fresh atmosphere and enjoy delicious fresh fruit specialties.

Mr. Tri Van Nghiep, Director of Vinh Binh Tourism Company Limited: the difficulty in terms of load capacity for bridges when entering the tourist area is because tourist vehicles often use 45-seat vehicles. Regarding the island tourism activities, there is currently a lack of means of transporting tourists (tourist boats) from the mainland to the island. For the company, we will try to build a tour from Ben Tre to Tra Vinh, the destination is Cau Ke and to the districts of Duyen Hai, Tra Cu...
