Seminar "Ha Nam Arts for Children - Potential, Current Situation and Solutions"

On the morning of June 18, the Provincial Literature and Arts Association held a seminar on "Ha Nam Literature and Arts for Children - Potential, Current Situation and Solutions". Attending the seminar were members of the branches of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association and students in the province.

In his opening speech, artist Nguyen Ngan, Chairman of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association, said: In recent years, the organization of creative writing for children by the Provincial Literature and Arts Association has not been regular, and there have not been many specialized creative writing camps for children or creative writing camps for the children themselves. Therefore, artists have not been able to gather and motivate them to invest more effort and enthusiasm in creating more works for children; and have not been able to arouse the passion for creative writing in a large number of children and teenagers... Therefore, the discussion aims to objectively and scientifically assess the potential of Ha Nam artists in creating works for children, the current state of literature and arts for children, and at the same time propose some feasible solutions in the short and long term to promote the potential and strengths of Ha Nam artists in creating many valuable works to meet the diverse needs of children - the most specific and populous public force in society today.

At the seminar, the artists assessed the potential, current situation and proposed solutions to promote creative writing for children. That is, there should be specialized creative writing camps for children for professional artists of the province and creative writing camps gathering talented children in schools, especially specialized schools, to encourage them to write for their own age. Every 2-3 years, organize poetry, literature and painting competitions for children.

Strengthen the connecting role of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association and its branches in organizing for artists to conduct field research, exchange and talk about poetry and literature at schools, youth unions and teams in the province. The Association’s Song Chau Magazine has dedicated special pages and topics for children, especially on occasions of International Children’s Day, Mid-Autumn Festival, and the first day of school, etc.
