The government requires the construction of 130,000 social housing units for low-income people and industrial park workers in 2024.

The Resolution on tasks and solutions to implement the socio -economic development plan and state budget estimates for 2024 has just been issued by the Government, requiring agencies and localities to implement a project to build at least one million social housing units for low-income people and industrial park workers by 2030.

The Government assigned units to find solutions to remove obstacles and promote the safe, healthy and sustainable development of the real estate market; to study and develop mechanisms to encourage and attract foreign investment in the real estate market. The goal is to limit the imbalance between real estate supply and demand.

"It is necessary to focus on encouraging the development of real estate products to meet the great needs of society such as social housing and affordable commercial housing," the resolution stated.
