Also attending the concert were President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev; Minister of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva.

In his opening speech, Vietnamese Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung affirmed that the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Kazakhstan was founded by President Ho Chi Minh 66 years ago during his visit to the beautiful country of Kazakhstan in 1959.

Following the visit to Vietnam in 2023 by the President of Kazakhstan, this historic visit to Kazakhstan by General Secretary To Lam has added strength to the friendship between Vietnam and Kazakhstan, officially upgrading the relationship between the two countries to a strategic partnership, marking an important milestone in promoting cooperation between the two countries in the coming period. Regarding the concert program, Minister Nguyen Van Hung emphasized that the event is an important milestone, contributing to strengthening the friendship and developing strategic partnership between Vietnam and Kazakhstan. Art in general, and music in particular, has the mission of connecting and creating empathy. The musical notes, lyrics, and sounds of the instruments in the concert program create a symphony about the journey and aspiration to build a strong and prosperous country, tightening the traditional and loyal relationship between Vietnam and Kazakhstan amidst many changes.

Kazakhstan's Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balayeva affirmed that the Vietnam-Kazakhstan friendship concert is not only a manifestation of goodwill between the people of Kazakhstan and the people of Vietnam, but also a vivid demonstration of mutual respect and the deep friendship and personal friendship between the leaders of the two countries. According to Minister Aida Balayeva, this art exchange program between Vietnamese and Kazakh artists marks the beginning of a strong relationship between the two countries. High-level cultural cooperation and exchange is a valuable historical step for the present and future generations of Vietnam and Kazakhstan.

The concert was performed by artists from the Vietnam National Academy of Music and artists from Kazakhstan under the direction of Vietnamese conductor Tran Nhat Minh and Kazakh conductor Arman Urazgaliev. The works performed in the program were imbued with the cultural identity of each country. In the space of the Astana National Opera and Ballet Theatre with a capacity of over 1,200 seats, there was no empty seat left, and there was continuous applause.

The Vietnam-Kazakhstan Friendship Concert successfully concluded, leaving many deep impressions in the hearts of the audience, demonstrating the strong relationship between the two countries, contributing to strengthening friendship and cultural cooperation, thereby contributing to promoting and further developing the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Kazakhstan established during the historic visit of General Secretary To Lam and his wife Ngo Phuong Ly and the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation.
