Specifically, after being adjusted, the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Component 2 Project has a total investment of more than 7.6 trillion VND. Previously, according to Decision No. 1605/QD-BGTVT dated December 6, 2022 of the Ministry of Transport (now the Ministry of Construction ), the total investment of this project was more than 6.8 trillion VND.
According to the decision of the Ministry of Construction, the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Component 2 Project will adjust the design solution for the exploitation. In particular, the project belongs to the intelligent traffic management system (ITS) including: the traffic management center (TMC) serving the management, operation and maintenance of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project Phase 1 located at Tan Hiep intersection with the office building, infrastructure, civil works, technology equipment system, infrastructure serving the working conditions of the functional forces performing the task of ensuring order and traffic safety on the highway; digital transmission system and technology equipment installed along the highway.
Toll station is located at Tan Hiep intersection, using non-stop electronic toll collection (ETC), free multi-lane input (no barrier) and single-lane output (with barrier).
Vehicle load control works on roads, arranged on the way to the highway at Tan Hiep intersection according to National Technical Regulations on vehicle load control works on roads; solutions to prevent overloaded vehicles from entering the highway are designed to suit the morphology and surface conditions of Tan Hiep intersection, ensuring safety and convenience in operation.
Software system with system software (virtualization software, data backup management software, network and device management software, security software...), weighing station management and control software; ITS software, toll collection software.
With the addition of additional items, the land use area of the project also increased from about 179 hectares (according to Decision No. 1605) to more than 186 hectares.
Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Component 2 Project has a route length of more than 18km, the starting point connects with the end point of Component 1 Project at the Long Thanh intersection with Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway in Long Thanh commune, Dong Nai province; the end point connects with the starting point of Component 3 Project in Phuoc Thai commune, Dong Nai province. The project is invested by Project Management Board 85 (Ministry of Construction).
