- Continuously in recent years, after the Covid-19 pandemic, the world 's economic and political fluctuations have directly impacted the country; inflation, high raw material costs, increased interest rates, while weak purchasing power... have greatly impacted the production and business activities of enterprises. Khatoco - with the position of the largest enterprise in the province, continuously standing in the group of large enterprises in Vietnam has united, innovated, and created to firmly overcome difficulties and challenges, bringing the parent company - subsidiary company Khanh Viet Corporation to develop stably, towards higher and more sustainable goals to contribute to promoting the socio-economic development of the province.

In 2023 and the first months of 2024, Khanh Viet Corporation has made many efforts and implemented many solutions to maintain stable production and business activities, striving to fulfill the highest targets and plans assigned by the State. Specifically, in 2023, consolidated revenue reached VND 8,901 billion, reaching 106% of the plan; consolidated pre-tax profit reached VND 301 billion, reaching 131% of the plan; export turnover reached 56.3 million USD, reaching 120% of the plan; total payment to the national budget (3 main taxes) reached VND 3,326 billion, reaching 106% of the plan. In the first 5 months of 2024, Khanh Viet Corporation's production and business targets continued to grow beyond the same period, specifically: Consolidated revenue reached VND 3,760 billion; export turnover reached 23 million USD; Total national budget payment (3 main taxes) reached 1,440 billion VND.

- Sir, the Central Government's resolutions on provincial development have given the province many specific mechanisms and policies for rapid and sustainable development. In that context, how does Khatoco determine its strategic goals to contribute to promoting the province's socio-economic development according to the Central Government's orientation?

- The Central Resolutions have given Khanh Hoa many specific mechanisms and policies for the province to develop rapidly and sustainably, making Khanh Hoa a city directly under the Central Government by 2030. In that context, Khanh Viet Corporation has identified strategic goals in the new situation, which is to focus on investing in developing core industries with competitive advantages of the corporation and industries with potential and strengths in the spearhead economic sectors in the local development strategy. The Corporation has focused resources on implementing the Khatoco Khanh Hoa Tobacco Factory Investment Project with a scale 3 times larger than the previous factory, with a total area of ​​nearly 12 hectares and a total investment of more than 1,000 billion VND, creating jobs for more than 650 workers. The new, spacious infrastructure with a closed system of factories and warehouses meeting international standards and advanced machinery and equipment, especially the tobacco fiber processing line which is considered the most modern in Southeast Asia, with a capacity of 21,600 tons/year, has contributed to improving competitiveness in the market, contributing to the development of the industry of Khanh Hoa province in particular and the country in general.

In line with the province's socio-economic development orientation, in which tourism is identified as a key economic sector, Khanh Viet Corporation has focused on in-depth investment in tourism infrastructure projects in a different direction of eco-tourism and resorts, creating many new tourism products, improving service quality and experience for tourists, contributing to making Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourism brand a leading destination on the international tourism map. In addition, in order to contribute to attracting investment and promoting socio-economic development of the province, the corporation has invested in 2 industrial clusters in Cam Lam district and Ninh Hoa town with favorable locations, complete infrastructure, convenient connection with important traffic routes in the region, thus attracting many secondary investors.

- Recently, at the conference where the Prime Minister worked with state-owned enterprises, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized the core role of state-owned enterprises in contributing to, promoting growth, stabilizing the macro-economy, and ensuring major balances of the economy. What will Khatoco do to respond to the expectations of the head of the Government, sir?

- At the conference, state-owned enterprises were commended by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh for their many contributions to socio-economic development since the beginning of the term and in the first 5 months of 2024.
