The ICO General Director will deliver a welcome speech at the opening ceremony recognizing "Buon Ma Thuot as the land of Robusta coffee" and participate in some of the main activities of the festival.
This is the first time an international representative has come to the Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival, marking an important step in raising the position of Vietnamese coffee on the world map.
The fact that a prestigious organization like ICO pays special attention to the festival shows the increasingly important role of Vietnamese coffee in the global supply chain. This is also a great opportunity for the Vietnamese coffee industry to expand cooperation with international organizations and markets.
The presence of Ms. Vanusia Noguiera will attract a large number of diplomatic delegations, agricultural organizations, industry associations, coffee businesses and international press.
Standing Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Ha, Head of the Organizing Committee of the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025, said that this year's festival has many new, outstanding, creative and internationally integrated elements.
This event not only contributes to promoting Buon Ma Thuot coffee but also affirms Vietnam's position on the world coffee map, in which Buon Ma Thuot is considered the "Coffee Capital of Vietnam", the homeland of the world's best Robusta coffee beans "creating a global boom".
Buon Ma Thuot Robusta coffee is currently exported to more than 100 countries and territories, and is popular in coffee consuming powers such as Germany, Italy, China, the US, Japan, Spain, Indonesia, etc.
The International Coffee Organization (ICO) was established in 1963 and currently has 49 members (75 countries), including 42 producing members and 7 importing members. ICO member countries account for 98% of the world's coffee production and 63% of the world's coffee consumption.
